Lletty, sleeping 6 in the main house with the option of sleeping another 2 in the Annex , is a Grade 2 listed 17th century farmhouse. Tall, narrow and built on the steep slope of a hill, it sits in a secluded position surrounded by fields and woods, but with commanding views eastwards over the attractive Eglwysbach valley.
The restoration was undertaken with the help of grants from CADW and Conwy County Borough Council, given on account of the building’s architectural merit. We have tried where possible to preserve the feel of an old Welsh farmhouse, in details such as the windows, the floors and the retention of original beams. Originally the animals were lodged in byres beneath the farmhouse, with their heat helping to warm the farmer’s family above; those rooms have now been sensitively incorporated in the house as living accommodation.
The property lies at the heart of the Bodnant Estate, with easy access to various fine walks along private paths on the Estate. A short walk above Lletty takes you to some spectacular views to the West over the Carneddau mountains.
